Ocarina - Concert Pitch - $80
includes tax, shipping and handling -
US only
All of our instruments are tuned note by note to perfection with a tuner. Thus, the do, re, mi and songs are all correct. Sometimes, we get what is known as a concert pitch. Concert pitch indicates that it is standard American tuning A-440. Like a piano, if you play "do" on an "A" concert pitch ocarina, and on a piano, they are in tune. Thus, you can play with other musicians, the band, or your favorite CD, and be in tune. This is really nice when you are trying to figure out the newest radio hit on your own, which comes quicker than you think.
Also, there is a variance in pitch on each note within the scale, depending on how hard one blows. Everyone has there own unique technique. There is some skill involved to achieve a concert pitch. We determine true concert pitch as follows: blow gently - the note is flat, blow hard - the note is sharp, blow midrange - you get the true pitch. On the flutes, the tuning is standard penny whistle tunings; you just play to the side and blow across the hole. Two octave range, concert pitch, accidentals, cross-fingers... all are professional, studio and stage quality.
Keys available from highest to lowest pitch:

and so on. I will help guide you through the selection process, matching you up perfectly with your newest soul accoutrement.
